The GRUIA DUFAUT Law Office took part, on December 11, as partner of CCIFER, at the « Romania’s Economic Perspectives » Conference, which brought together the most important leaders of the French business environment in Romania, officials and economists.
The conference speakers analysed the general macroeconomic trends in Romania, as well as sectorial trends in 2014 mainly in the IT industry, agriculture, energy, infrastructure, constructions etc. and the perspectives for the year to come.
On this occasion, part of the panel moderated by Mr. Costin BORC, General Manager of LAFARGE Romania, Mrs. GRUIA DUFAUT, managing partner of the GRUIA DUFAUT Law Office, highlighted the tremendous hope and momentum created by the last presidential elections in Romania, which should lead, in 2015, to a better legislative predictability, to an improved administrative capacity and to the adoption of certain regulations, such as the law on PPPs, which could encourage investments.
The view generally shared by the attending officials, but also by the representatives of the private sector, was that a certain optimism regarding the country’s perspectives is well justified, given the macroeconomic figures, although the country’s economic growth is still far from reaching its potential.
