JOB OFFER: IN-HOUSE LEGAL TRANSLATOR (FRENCH AND ENGLISH)

Main Tasks:

Translation of legal documents (contracts, legal analyses, court rulings, legal articles, correspondence etc.) and any other documents used by the Law Office, into the desired target language (Romanian, French or English).
Making sure that the content, meaning and coherence of the source text are preserved and that the appropriate terminology is used.
Reviewing, revising and editing the final versions of already translated documents and making sure that the appropriate legal terms and terminology are coherently and consistently used.
Assisting the Law Office’s clients during negotiations or for the signature of deeds before the notary public; providing interpreting services in specific cases.


Candidate Profile:
  • Sworn translator and interpreter for French and English (holders of an authorization issued by the Romanian Ministry of Justice are privileged)

  • Previous experience in legal translations – French and English – is a plus;

  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is desired;

  • Good communication skills in Romanian, French and English;

  • Team player;

  • Excellent writing and editing skills (spelling, grammar and style) in French and English;

  • Excellent knowledge of grammar, punctuation and spelling and

  • Able to work in a dynamic environment and to meet short deadlines;

  • Professionalism, attention to details, autonomy, diplomacy, confidentiality;

  • Good terminology research skills (specialized databases etc.).
